Your doctor may order an interventional radiology procedure on your behalf, but only an interventional radiologist (IR) can decide which procedure to perform or whether a procedure should be performed at all. Our IRs view every procedure request as a consultation and examine your specific clinical situation and imaging using their years of experience and procedural expertise to determine the best way to proceed. This may require a visit to discuss the options, risks, and benefits in our clinic.
You may have to provide your consent to allow our IRs to review your case prior to scheduling any procedures. This process is evolving, and you will be contacted for additional information if needed.
